I was recently invited to contribute to brand spanking new travel writing platform, Uncharted.io and, for once, I couldn’t think of ten excuses not to (I have to wash my hair, I can’t remember how to type, I’m sleeping etc etc). Uncharted pitches itself as the fledgling Medium of travel writing, which is fairly bold but I do like a bit of sass in my new travel writing platforms. It immediately became clear that the kind of content Uncharted want is way more practical and structured than my usual reveries but I am enjoying reliving my greatest adventures in a way that might actually help other travellers find their way.
The first piece I contributed is an account of the month I spent in Cuba in the spring of 2016.
The second piece is on Banff in the Canadian Rockies. Having just spent the best summer of my life living and working there I felt pretty qualified to share something on how to experience Banff like a local.
Be wowed by my uncharacteristically practical advice and have a click around the rest of the site, there are some great pieces up there.
